Aster MIMS bags two prestigious awards in the Middle East

Aster MIMS, Calicut,bagged the two prestigious international awards Year at The Middle East Healthcare Leadership Awards 2016 in the World Brand Congress held at Dubai. The organ donation Awareness campaign of Aster MIMS won the award for “the Best Marketing Campaign of the year” and Dr Rahul Menon, CEO of Aster MIMS won the award for the “Most Iconic Healthcare Personality of the Year”. Mr. Nandkishore Badami, Chief Marketing Officer, CISCO Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd felicitated Dr Rahul Menon, CEO – Aster MIMS and Mr Anvar Husain, Branding Manager - Aster MIMS with the trophy at a specially organized award ceremony at Address Hotel, Dubai.

The award winning campaign, Some Scars Are Worth it was launched last year as a public awareness initiative to help promote organ donation. The campaign had gone viral, and the video campaign had reached over 2 million people worldwide. Commenting on the award, an ecstatic Dr Menon said, “Some Scars Are Worth It, was a popular campaign and it had started a dialogue in the right direction. The award further reinforces the success and popularity of the campaign, and we are honored that it has found a place amongst some of the best works done so far.” Mr. Anvar Husain, the Manager Branding at Aster MIMS said,” It was a challenging campaign to execute, because the idea of organ donation has been discussed at length in many places. That is how we decided to work on the methodology of messaging, and chose the storytelling technique. The campaign is inspired by real life incidents and the magnanimity of mankind, which further accelerated the popularity of the same.”
