Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department concentrates on diagnosing and treating a variety of disorders related to the brain, bones, muscles and nerves. Treatment is provided for patients who are unable to move physically as a result of illness or injury, and our specialized team of doctors help them regain part or whole of their movement capabilities, bringing them to normal life.

The department has expert rehabilitation physicians who work collaboratively with physical therapists, neurologists and orthopaedic surgeons, and based on the medical history of our patients, an appropriate treatment plan would be devised with the aim of bringing maximum recovery. Apart from the broad spectrum of disorders that we can identify, diagnose and treat, we have special technology in our PM&R department to help identify rare neurological disorders while our physiatrists, with their experience in electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction can suggest treatments and exercises. We have specialist doctors who deal with arthritis-related pain, acute and chronic pain syndromes and musculoskeletal injuries.
